Pastor/Director of Impact 195

George Clerie

After two decades of sharing God's love internationally, George Clerie now directs the Rock Church's year-long discipleship and missionary programs. As a college student, Clerie planned a career in art until he heard a challenge from an acclaimed missionary to Africa named Helen Roosevere. After a summer missions trip, Clerie had a new calling. In 1992, Clerie and his new bride, Nannette, moved to Pushkin, Russia, for six years where they started a church. They spent two years in Austria, where Clerie taught at the Calvary Chapel Bible College, and a year in Mexico, where Clerie helped set up Festivals of Life for Horizon Christian Fellowship. Clerie then directed the Horizon School Evangelism in San Diego for seven years. In 2009 George came to the Rock Church to launch Impact195 (or i195), a rigorous program where students determine God's call on their life. He also oversees a thriving intern/volunteer base at i195 and the sending out of Rock Ambassadors, Rock Church's first long-term missionaries.
